On June 15, 2023, the Hefei Municipal Market Supervision Bureau corrected the behavior of Jinhong Qiyunfeng Tea Shop in Shushan District, Hefei City that sold rice dumplings that did not comply with the mandatory national standards for restricting excessive packaging of commodities.
After investigation, the "Jiaxing Famous Zongzi" gift box sold by Jinhong Qiyunfeng Tea Shop in Shushan District, Hefei City contained 4 bags of prepackaged rice dumplings (8 in total), 1 box of salted duck eggs, 1 box of mung bean cake, and 1 bottle of olive oil (500ml). The sales price of the Zongzi gift box is 158 yuan per box, and the sales price of olive oil is 78 yuan per bottle. The price of olive oil is significantly higher than the price of zongzi, and it does not meet the requirements of GB 23350-2021 "Restricting Excessively Packaged Commodity Requirements for Food and Cosmetics" on mixed packaging. The behavior of the parties violated the prohibition of excessive packaging in the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste", which constituted failure to comply with the mandatory national standards for restricting excessive packaging of commodities. According to the provisions of Article 105 of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste", the Hefei Market Supervision Bureau issued a "Notice of Order to Correct" to the parties concerned, ordering them to immediately correct their illegal acts. The person involved took the zongzi gift box off the shelves on the spot.
