On December 25th, the State Post Bureau held the fourth quarter routine news conference. It is reported that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the "green" content of express delivery continues to improve, with more than half of the reduction in the number of layers of cartons and the thickness of packaging bags, a 25% reduction in the width of tape, and the proportion ofpackaging used in same-city express delivery reached 10%, with more than 800 million paper boxes recycled and reused annually.
Lin Hu, director of theDepartment of the State Post Bureau, said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the industry's regulations, standards, and policies have become more comprehensive, and the packaging of express delivery has been improved. The "slimming" tape and "slimming" waybill, which are reducible packaging, have been widely used. The total area of photovoltaic panels installed in the industry has reached 44.8 million square meters, and more than 43,000 high-speed security inspection machines have been equipped. The number of new energy and clean energy vehicles exceeds 75,000.

Lin Hu pointed out that the postal industry has achieved carbon reduction throughout the entire chain through technological innovation, model optimization and green management, coordinating the four key nodes of collection, transfer, transportation and delivery. Among them, at the collection node, carbon reduction is achieved through packaging source reduction and green substitution; at the transportation node, low-carbon and efficiency are achieved through the dual-wheel drive of "new energy + multi-modal transportation"; at the delivery node, unmanned technology and intelligent algorithms promote the reduction of carbon at the end. Next, we will continue to use big data, block chain and visualization, intelligent technology to achieve full-link logistics carbon footprint management. At the same time, we will promote the integrated carbon reduction of green buildings, intelligent equipment, automatic sorting, photovoltaic power generation, new energy vehicles, low-altitude distribution, green packaging.
