News: onMay 26, the awarding ceremony of the first China Packaging Innovation Design Forum and the 19th "Zhongnan Star Award" Design Art Competition was held in Wuhan Nantaizi Lake·Innovation Valley Cultural Center.
The competition was designed by the "Zhongnan Star Award" Design Art Competition Organizing Committee of the six central and southern provinces, the Design Committee of Hubei Packaging Federation, the Design Committee of Hunan Packaging Federation, the Design Committee of Henan Packaging Technology Association, and the Design Committee of Guangdong Packaging Technology Association. Hosted by the Professional Committee, the Design Committee of Guangxi Packaging Industry Association, and the Design Committee of Hainan Packaging Technology Association, the Design Committee of Shanghai Packaging Technology Association, Macau Designers Association and Shenzhen Graphic Design Association are specially invited as "special guest cities".
At the award ceremony, Wang Guanzhong, executive deputy secretary-general of the Design Committee of China Packaging Federation, Liao Xiaohong, director of the Packaging Industry Office of Hubei Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and Yu Zhengxiang, deputy director of Wuhan Design Industry Promotion Center, delivered speeches to express their support and encouragement for the competition.
The 19th "Zhongnan Star Award" Design Art Competition was launched in early 2022. Through the preliminary evaluation and push of various provinces, a total of 6,453 pieces/sets of works were received from 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) across the country, including 753 pieces/sets of professional group works. 441 pieces/sets of works were selected in the preliminary evaluation of various provinces and regions in China.
The final evaluation of the selected works will be made from the five dimensions of visual design performance, creativity-led communication, commercial value transformation, material technology innovation, and traditional cultural inheritance. First prize, 30 silver medals, and 50 bronze medals. In addition, the competition also awarded awards such as the student group, excellent instructors, and school organization awards, and issued certificates to the professional group judges.
At present, new packaging concepts are constantly emerging, new design forms are emerging one after another, and new materials are rapidly iterating. The first China Packaging Innovation Design Forum came into being. The subsequent forum invited industry experts and scholars to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on innovation trends in packaging design.
