Recently, Ziyang City Ecological Environment Bureau and Ziyang City Development and Reform Commission issued the "Ziyang City 2023 Special Inspection Work Plan for Plastic Pollution Control", and "express packaging" was included in Ziyang City's 2023 plastic pollution control special inspection work Task.

The "Plan" requires that the Municipal Postal Administration, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau jointly carry out special inspections of express plastic packaging products, and strengthen law enforcement inspections of plastic pollution control in the field of postal express delivery in accordance with the phased target requirements of express delivery plastic packaging products. Investigate and deal with illegal activities according to law. At the same time, carry out excessive packaging law enforcement inspections on delivery companies through "double random, one open" and other methods, and strengthen the quality supervision of express packaging.

With the development of the new economy and new formats, emerging industries such as e-commerce and express delivery have become the hardest hit areas for plastic products. The reporter learned that Ziyang City Postal Administration will work hard on "plastic reduction" in express packaging, and further standardize the production and use of plastic products in the postal express industry and the recycling and disposal of plastic waste.

Through the efforts of the whole system and the whole industry, by 2022, the city will achieve 90% procurement and use of standard packaging materials, 90% of standardized packaging operations, 1,800 recyclable express boxes (boxes), recycled and reused corrugated paper 210,000 boxes, 40 new energy or clean energy vehicles, accelerate the reduction, standardization and recycling of express packaging, and promote the green development of the industry to a new level.
