The event was sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Henan Province, the Xinxiang Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by the Weihui Municipal People's Government. More than 300 descendants of the Lin family, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from both sides of the Taiwan Strait attended the event.
Lin Zhongsen, chairman of the Chinese National Development Foundation and former chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation, said in a speech that the food packaging industry is an important pillar of the global packaging industry. This event will help promote cross-strait exchanges and cooperation in food packaging technology, products, markets, standards and talents, and will further promote cross-strait economic and trade cooperation to a deeper level.
During the period, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars in the field of food packaging from both sides of the strait shared the theme of the future development trend of food packaging. The project was signed at the event, with a total investment of 12.878 billion yuan, involving five major categories of food and beverage and packaging, fine chemicals, machinery manufacturing, cultural tourism, and logistics.
