This year's book fair coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the EU. Over 5,000 titles and 6,500 volumes of books from Chinese publishing houses were on display, with foreign language editions accounting for more than a third of the total. During the book fair, Chinese and foreign publishing houses will cooperate to hold 58 cultural exchange activities, covering new book launches, copyright signing, academic discussions, and art exhibitions.
During the book fair, the new book "Medical Human Experiments Conducted by Japanese Biological War Units in China from 1932 to 1945" (Chinese and English Edition) will hold a global premiere event.
The Frankfurt Book Fair, established in 1949, is one of the world's largest trade fairs in the publishing industry. According to the organizers of the fair, around 200,000 visitors are expected during this year's event, and approximately 1,000 authors and speakers will also attend, participating in hundreds of forums and literary events.
