Founded in 1950, the "American Printing Awards" is sponsored by the Printing Industry Association of America. It is the most prestigious award in the printing industry and is known as the "Oscar" of the printing industry.

  Beginning in 2021, the American Printing Awards will include the Golden Elephant Award from Screen Printing Digital Printing Exhibition, the Golden Ink Award from Printing Impression Magazine, the Excellence Award from Packaging Impression Magazine and the Benny Gold Award, the highest honor in the printing industry in the United States . Merging, the number of trophies has also dropped from hundreds to 63, which also means that the competition is more intense , and only works with outstanding strength can stand out.
